Android Devices

Android devices generally have TTS engine(s) preinstalled.

You can download Google's TTS engine from the Google Play Store and follow it's installation guide: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.tts

Installing Voice Data/Why does TTS not work or sound weird?

Make sure to have selected the correct TTS engine (a) within the app and (b) inside your device's settings.

In your Android Device, go to Settings > Languages > Text-To-Speech > (Select same engine like in the app first) > Cog wheel > Install Voices/Customize to your liking

iOS Devices

iOS devices generally have TTS engine(s) preinstalled.

In your iOS device, go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Speech > Install Voices/Customize to your liking

Premium TTS

Premium TTS is offered for subscribed users, this TTS uses a more sophisticated AI to mimic the natural human voice. This service requires an active internet connection, but you can optionally toggle between Premium TTS and Standard TTS (as outlined above) within the profile/settings page inside the app.
